Frequently Asked Questions
How can I search for a church by its name, address, or city?
-
- Open the app and manually move the map until the area where you want to search is centered on the screen. (You can skip this step if you want to search in your current location.)
- Tap the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen.
- You will see a list of all nearby churches. The list will be sorted by distance from the point in the center of the screen where you pressed the magnifying glass.
- You can filter the list by typing text into the field at the top of the list. Only churches with those characters in the church name, address, city, Mass times, confession times, or additional information will remain visible. For example, you can type 12: to search for masses between 12:00 and 12:59. Use only one word, or part of a word for better results: instead of typing several words together (i.e. you’ll have more luck if you type “Seton” than if you enter “Saint Elizabeth Seton”, as we may have that church’s name written as St Elizabeth Seton).
- You can scroll down the list until you find the church you are looking for. You can tap a church row to go to the screen that shows all its details.
My parish is not in the app; how can I request it be added?
-
- Tap the + (plus) icon at the top of the screen.
- Press the indicate on map button, and on the next screen, tap for 2 seconds the exact place on the map where the entrance of the church is located. When you see a church icon appearing at the right location, you can tap Done.
